Professional body the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) wants Financial Planning Week 2026 to be an opportunity for Financial Planners to give back to their communities.
The campaign to promote the benefits of Financial Planning will be held from 26 January to 1 February.
The campaign slogan is: “Live your today. Plan your tomorrow.”
During the week consumers will be able to get free introductory appointments and resources from Certified Financial Planners and other CISI Financial Planning and Paraplanning members.
It is an opportunity for Financial Planners to give back by sharing their expertise with their local communities, the CISI said.
Carly Dunningham CFP MCSI, chair of the CISI Financial Planning Forum committee, said: “This initiative is more than just a date in the diary. It’s a nationwide opportunity to show the public what true financial planning really means – to raise awareness, to share our expertise more widely, and to open doors for people who might not otherwise have access to the support we know can be invaluable.”
Financial Planners can get involved by signing up to support CISI Financial Planning Week in a range of ways including:
- Spreading awareness on social media via the #FPWUK hastag
- Hosting pro bono consultations
- Sharing press releases with local news outlets
- Speaking at local schools and community centres about financial literacy, or financial planning careers
- Sharing resources, including financial health checklists
The CISI said advisers will be able download the campaign toolkit on the CISI’s website shortly.
